Notes  
 
All Workshop Presenters and Trade Exhibitors need to be registered for the Conference (minimum is Single Day Rate)
 
As part of the Conference Sustainability policy ('Lighten the Load') all Registration Costs include a levy which is applied to certified biodiverse carbon offsets for the event.  
All participants are encouraged to make additional carbon offsets for their travel to and from the Conference.

Scholarship support            Applications Now Closed

The AFN and conference organising teams have a commitment to scholarship support for voluntary and community-based practitioners, students, and others who may otherwise have difficulty in attending the AFN Conference.  
 
Eligible persons include those who meet any of the following 'disadvantage' criteria:

•  people who are on a low income 
•  people who live a great distance from the conference venue 
•  people who are only just starting out as facilitators 
•  facilitators who operate primarily in the non-profit sector 
•  Indigenous Australians or Maori people, particularly those working in remote locations  
•  persons from developing countries or countries in transition in south-east Asia or the Pacific.
  

In most cases, scholarship support covers full conference registration costs only, and does not include the cost of transport, pre- or post-conference workshops, accommodation, and other personal expenses.  
 
Some applicants may be eligible for a higher level of support.  This will be assessed on an individual basis, drawing on information supplied in the application process.
 
A scholarship holder may be requested to assist during the conference with aspects of administration or event management.  Conditions may be imposed on the scholarship provision.

Scholarship applications are to be submitted by email not later than 16 July 2008.  Now Closed
Applicants will be notified of the outcome by 04 August.  
Successful applicants must acknowledge acceptance of their scholarship and any conditions
by 15 August 2008.  Now Closed

Cancellation Policy  
 
Unfortunately if you need to cancel your registration we will need to retain a cancellation fee to cover costs including registration, accounts management and ordering.  
 
If you have registered but are unable to attend the Conference you may substitute someone else to come in your place with the same inclusions.  
 

Cancellation before  25 October 2008	80% refund
Cancellation on or after   25 October 2008	50% refund
Cancellation after  11 November 2008	No refund

 
The organisers must be notified by email of any cancellation or substitution, as soon as possible.
