Bathurst is accessible by road, rail or air.  Participants are encouraged to use public transport services such as rail, road coach, or air.  If travelling by car, participants are encouraged to pool travel with others.  
 
The Conference venue is the Centre for Professional Development (CPD) at Charles Sturt University, Panorama Avenue, Bathurst.  On-campus accommodation is adjacent to the CPD.

Around 2.5 hours (207km or 130 miles) from Sydney, via the Great Western Highway and M4 Motorway through Katoomba or via Bells Line of Road through Richmond 
 
About 3.25 hours (254km or 160 miles) from Canberra via the Barton Highway then Hume Highway then Lachlan Valley Way through Cowra and then through Blayney
 
About 2.5 hours (206km or 130 miles) from Dubbo via the Mitchell Highway through Wellington and Orange

Bathurst by rail
 
Countrylink operates daily XPT rail services - Sydney to Dubbo service (about 3.5 hours)
Trains operate between Sydney Central Station and Bathurst Station (end of Keppel St) 
Departure Sydney ~7am arrival Bathurst ~10.45am
/ Departure Bathurst ~5.15pm arrival Sydney ~8.50pm

CountryLink operates daily coach/CityRail services from Sydney (about 4.25 hours)
Coaches between Bathurst and Lithgow, CityRail services between Lithgow and Sydney Central Station

Depending on numbers,
shuttle transport may be available between the railway station and the venue, in association with XPT rail services.  Numbers are limited, and you will need to provide the convenors with prior notice of your Bathurst arrival/departure  times.  No fee is charged, as this is considered to be public transport provided as part of the Sustainability Policy ('Lighten the Load').
